VISUAL, MEDIA & PERFORMING ARTS PROGRESSION

Thomas Tallis School has a well-established history as a centre for creativity. Our Arts provision in the sixth form is fantastic and we place students in the very best art colleges and conservatoires in the country. Every year we put more than thirty students into the best Art Colleges in London and elsewhere: Camberwell, Chelsea, Ravensbourne, St Martins, Kingston are all frequent destinations. We are also successful in supporting students to apply for leading colleges and conservatoires for Dance, Drama and Music.

The secret of our success? Great arts teaching, and dedicated Visual, Media and Performing Arts Coordinators, who oversee all applications for Foundation courses and arts degrees.  We have one post to support applicants in the visual arts, and another to support applicants in the performing arts.

Thomas Tallis 16+ Centre now works in close partnership with Ravensbourne College, University of the Creative Arts, Central St. Martins, Camberwell, Chelsea, Wimbledon Progression Centre, London College of Fashion, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance and Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. We offer every arts student personal guidance and support throughout the application process from the writing of the personal statement, through to the construction of a portfolio and preparation for an audition.

Maintaining a contemporary approach to learning and teaching is the key to our success. With a strong extra curriculum programme including life-drawing workshops, a school orchestra and dance companies, practitioner talks, Open Studio critiques and Summer Schools, we offer a complete arts experience.

There really is no better sixth form in London to study at if you're serious about an arts career.  Come for a look round.  We guarantee that you will be struck by the quality of what we do.
