CURRICULUM
The Post 16 curriculum at Thomas Tallis School is rich and varied. We offer many A-level courses and some BTECS. We also offer the Extended Project Qualification and Core Maths, which are equivalent in UCAS points value to an AS-level, and run retake courses for English Language and for Mathematics GCSE.
In the main, A-level courses are best suited to students with an average of 6's or better at GCSE, whilst BTECs are accessible to students with an average grade of a 4 at GCSE.
Our A-levels are all linear - this means that all of the exams for nearly all subjects come at the end of Year 13. Our BTEC qualifications are mainly assessed through coursework, set to tight deadlines, although each BTEC also has a written exam paper each year.
We offer a great deal of expert guidance to young people enrolling at Tallis, tightly focused on the best combination of courses to suit their abilities and aspirations. This is because we want to give applicants the best advice about taking courses at which they'll succeed.
