Alchemy

Issue #3 of the Tallis Fanzine entitled Alchemy is devoted to the intersection of maths, science and the visual arts. Students in Years 10 to 13 created all the content with support from  Mr Smythe, Mr Nicholls and our fab team of professional journalists and designers, Emma, Hayley and Darryl.

Alchemy is the forerunner of chemistry, a medieval process purporting to turn base metals into gold. We hope you agree that this is a suitable title for an edition of the 'zine filled with articles and images about magical transformations. Enjoy!

Delicious Pi

Issue #2 of our Tallis Fanzine is entitled Delicious Pi. It was created by a team of Year 12 and 13 students working alongside some maths enthusiasts in Year 10 and with the expert guidance of our professional journalists and designers.

It's all about the relationship between mathematical ideas and the wonder of the world around us and, like maths itself, it is a thing of beauty!

We have a few copies left of the physical thing so ask Mr Nicholls for your copy now to avoid disappointment. You can also check out some exclusive additional web content.

Thank you for taking the trouble to send me a copy of the fanzine produced by students at Thomas Tallis. I am very pleased to see that the creativity at the school remains undiminished.
-- Sir Nicholas Serota, Director of Tate

Another brilliant new Fanzine 'This Is Not A Prospectus' we made recently. Thanks to the dedicated team of artists, writers, illustrators, photographers, interviewers and editors who helped put it together.
