Applying to Thomas Tallis 16+ for 2026-2027

Recommended Pathways and timetable blocking for 2026-2027 applicants

Level 3 courses are a significant step up from those completed at Key Stage 4. You must choose your subjects carefully. Try to choose subjects that you are good at: this is why we recommend at least a 6 at GCSE in any A-level subject desired at Key Stage 5.  It can be hard to stay motivated if you are struggling with a subject. Look carefully at the subject syllabus and how it is assessed. Consider which subjects ‘fit together’ and compliment each other. Finally, make sure your subject combination prepares you for your future goal, be it the world of work or higher education.  If you're unsure, ask us about this!

Ensure you visit and read the entry requirements on the Applying to Tallis page for a detailed breakdown of the minimum we ask of our students.

The tables below show our recommended pathways and anticipated timetable blocking. We reserve the right to change it as we need, although it is a good indication of our likely blocking for the upcoming year.

Curriculum blocking

Please see our 2025-2026 curriculum timetable blocking below. Students can pick at most one course in each column.  Please also remember that our timetable may change from year to year.  In 2026-2027 our BTEC blocking is set to change.  We will update this section of the website as soon as we are able to.
