UCAS 2020-2021 - Fantastic Four off to Oxbridge - and more to Med. School!
Four of our fabulous Year 13 students are to take up their places at Oxbridge. Interviews were online just before Christmas, and shortly after we learned that Rosie D is to read Engineering, Jenny D is to read Natural Sciences, and Finley M is to read History - at Cambridge.
Mrs Roberts observes: "We make a fuss about this not because Oxbridge is best for everyone, or training as a doctor, but because it takes a monumental effort to get comprehensive school children in. Well done to all concerned."

Thomas Tallis School 16-19 Tuition Fund Expenditure Statement
The DFE’s 16-19 Tuition Fund for 2021-2022 is ring-fenced for the provision of small group tuition for certain groups of KS5 students whose learning was disrupted last year: students who achieved a grade 4 or below in English or Mathematics; students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), students who achieved a grade 4 or above in English and/or mathematics and are from an economically disadvantaged background and would need catch up support.
We are required by the DFE to publish a statement on our website explaining how we will spend this money. With this money, Thomas Tallis School intends to focus on providing small group and individual tuition in English and/or mathematics to students from the groups above who have gaps in their knowledge, or a need to improve in specific areas.
